Visitors to the Niagara Falls Park in Ontario, Canada, Tuesday 21 October 2003, look at the lip of the Horseshoe falls in the foreground, which is also visible on the right in the background, where it meets the American shore. The so-called 'American Falls' is visible in the background to the top left. An incident occurred at approximately 12:45pm the day before, when Kirk Jones, 40, of Canton, Michigan, allegedly survived a trip over the falls without serious injury, and also without any protective equipment. Niagara Parks Police said that Jones will face charges of Mischief under the Criminal Code of Canada and Unlawfully Perform Stunt Within the Parks under the Niagara Parks Act, which carries a fine to a maximum of $10,000.
